China's importance is being felt in cities throughout the U.S. Cleveland, Ohio is one of those cities that has a growing number of connections to China. We recently were involved in the production of a documentary that aired on the Cleveland PBS affiliate, WVIZ that looked at how China and Cleveland are growing closer. Cleveland's China Connection China is a superpower whose economic and political impact is felt worldwide, including Cleveland and Northeast Ohio. Cleveland and China are becoming closer. Hundreds of Chinese girls have been adopted by Cleveland families, Chinese language classes are springing up throughout the region and more and more Cleveland businesses are looking to China in a quest for profits. Cleveland’s China Connection is a 30 minute documentary that takes a look at how the bonds between Cleveland and China are growing. We travel with 3 Cleveland families for an emotional journey to introduce their daughters to the land of their birth. We look at how another family is making a difference in the lives of little girls in a rural Chinese village. We'll also visit one of the growing number of Chinese language schools that have opened in Cleveland and also find out how the business community is adapting to the new global economy.
